About the Job

Local non-profit searching for a part-time finance manager/accountant. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant management and payroll as well as bi-monthly financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain general ledger
  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Payroll preparation including quarterly and annual reporting
  • Annual 1099 preparation
  • Grant management and reporting
  • Month end reconciliations and adjustments
  • Bi-monthly reporting to finance committee and board of directors
  • Work closely with outside accountants on annual financial audit and 990

Computer skills required:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
  • Experience with nonprofit financial management desired
  • Bachelor degree in accounting or finance
  • Experience with quarterly and annual payroll reporting
  • Highly organized, attentive to detail, strong record keeping
  • Excellent communication skills
