Community Liaison / Marketer

Great opportunity with established progressive Hospice Company. Competitive rate along with mileage reimbursement. Full-time position includes 3 weeks paid vacation, 8 paid holidays, life insurance, health, dental, vision, retirement, and friendly team-oriented work environment with knowledgeable staff.

AREA: Beaver/Cranberry Region

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, Monday through Friday. Some evening/weekend events required.


Community Liaison / Marketer

A liaison promotes hospice’s unique program and services in accordance with established policies and procedures. Establishes and maintains relationships with physicians, medical professionals, hospitals, nursing facilities, discharge planners, and other programs that refer or potentially refer to hospice. Identifies hospice admissions in the community to enroll in hospice in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS of A Community Liaison (Marketer)
•Two (2) years of experience in marketing, community relations, and/or medical sales; hospice sales/marketing preferred.

Familiarity and/or skills should include:
•Strong interpersonal communication skills
•Referral development and maintenance
•Market statistics and marketing plan development
•Event and meeting coordination
•Problem solving
•Computer proficiency

RESPONSIBILITIES of a Community Liaison (Marketer)
•Calls on existing and/or potential physicians, medical professionals, hospitals, nursing facilities, discharge planners, and other programs to establish and maintain relationships and to address concerns and complaints by referral sources.
•Informs physicians, medical professionals, hospitals, nursing facilities, discharge planners, and other programs of services available through education and continual contact.
•Secures referrals, arranges for displays and exhibits, and performs other community relations activities.
•Performs periodic market analysis, identifies and targets new referral sources, and updates management regarding activities, opportunities and medical community changes.
•Maintains records and makes reports on all phases of activities.
•Stays informed on all new approaches regarding hospice services, changes in state reimbursement policies, Medicare/Medicaid, nursing home reimbursement, and other general information of interest to referral sources or patients.
•Stays informed and current on changes in the hospice industry, which might affect organization objectives, patient census, average length of stay, and other goals.
•Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
